Healthy Cooking Blog

A pandemic-era project from high school that paired my love of cooking with a goal: make healthy meals feel stress-free and fast. I built a simple blog, learned web basics, and created reproducible, quantified recipes.

Why I started

During the pandemic in high school, I combined my passion for cooking with promoting healthier eating. I created a food blog to share stress-free, time-efficient recipes while learning website creation and recipe quantification.

Introduction

What it offered

The blog featured healthy, from-scratch recipes designed to reduce stress and save time. I aimed for an engaging, user-friendly site and developed a repeatable approach to quantifying recipes for accuracy.

Design

Clean and functional

A clean, functional layout with intuitive navigation, clear photography, and concise instructions. Each recipe included nutritional notes, and measurements were specified precisely so readers could replicate results.

Learning web basics from scratch — layout, interaction, and performance — while balancing recipe precision with simplicity for readers.

Hands-on experience in site creation, content design, and lightweight analytics via feedback. Recipe quantification improved reliability and my own cooking process.
